Training Path To Testosteronologist® Certification
The Testosteronology® Certification Program is a structured training and certification pathway for licensed healthcare professionals who prescribe testosterone and related therapies.
A Certified Testosteronologist® is a licensed medical professional trained under Dr. Thomas O’Connor’s Testosteronology® program to deliver the highest standard of care in:

Certification is supported by the Testosteronology Society™, the Testosteronology® App and Testosteronology Society™ website, and a worldwide network of providers who share clinical cases, guidelines, and ongoing education.
This program is intended for healthcare professionals who:

Typical eligible roles include:
- MD / DO
- NP / APRN

- USA and International equivalents with TRT prescribing authority
The program is designed specifically for providers who want a formal sub-specialty focus in Testosteronology® within internal medicine, primary care, endocrinology, men’s health, women’s health, or sports medicine.
Step-by-Step Pathway to Becoming a Certified Testosteronologist®
◉ Step 1 – Confirm Eligibility and Prescribing Authority
Before enrolling, ensure that you:
- Hold an active, unrestricted license in good standing
- Have legal authority to prescribe testosterone and related medications in your state, province, or country
- Disclose any past malpractice claims
This certification is intended for clinicians already positioned to prescribe testosterone safely and ethically.
◉ Step 2 – Pay and Subscribe To Your Choice of Membership
Payment links are on the Membership page.
Once your payment is accepted:
- We will send you an invitation by email to the members-only area of this website.
- You will need to confirm the invitation and set up your password.
Please look for this email to activate your account. Sometimes it may land in your spam folder.
◉ Step 3 – Submit Your Professional Profile
You will be emailed directions to fill out a Member Profile form so you can be listed as a provider after certification
This profile will be used for the “Find a Provider” directory on the Testosteronology.com website and related patient-facing tools (including within the Testosteronology® app).
◉ Step 4 – Pre-Interview / Orientation
In keeping with other medical certification programs, you may be scheduled for a brief pre-interview orientation with a member of the certification team. This may be done via phone or video call and is used to:
- Clarify your background and goals
- Review expectations for coursework and live sessions
- Confirm your prescribing authority and clinical context
- Answer all your questions about participating in the Society
◉ Step 5 – Start the 7-Module Testosteronologist® Certification Course
You’ll start and proceed through the seven core modules of the Testosteronologist® Certification Course.
Each module may include video lectures, readings, and practical tools you can apply directly to your existing patient population.
◉ Step 6 – Attend Live Online Testosteronologists® Meetings
Live interaction is a major part of the training model. As a participant, you’ll typically have access to:
- Testosteronologist®-only video meetings led by Dr. O’Connor or other Testosteronologists®
- Group case discussions with other certified or aspiring Testosteronologists®
- Practice-management discussions (clinic growth, workflow, patient communication, etc.)
- Ongoing Q&A and topic presentations from experienced providers
These live sessions function similarly to case conferences or grand rounds in other medical sub-specialties and help you integrate the material more deeply into everyday decision-making.
◉ Step 7 – Engage Deeply With Society Members-Only Content
Consume the extensive videos, documents, articles and other Society content from the members-only area and other sections on the Testosteronology Society™ website.
◉ Step 8 – Certification, Directory Listing, and Use of Marks
Upon successful completion of all requirements including the course and approval by the certification committee:
- You are recognized as a Certified Testosteronologist®
- You will receive a certificate acknowledging your status to display in your clinic
Details and assets are available in the Marketing Kit page of the Members-Only area for your promotion.
◉ Step 9 – Maintain Certification and Ongoing Involvement
Like other medical certification programs, the Testosteronology Society™ emphasizes ongoing continuing education and engagement. To maintain your status in good standing, you are typically expected to:
- Maintain an active membership with the Society
- Participate regularly in live meetings, topic discussions, or other educational activities
