Testosteronology Society™ Executive Team
Thomas O'Connor, MD - Founder And Chief

I created Testosteronology®, a sub-specialty of Internal Medicine developed after many years of caring for thousands of men and women using testosterone and anabolic steroids. No other medical discipline provides the same comprehensive, personalized medical oversight for individuals on androgens. Testosteronology® stands apart from Endocrinology and Urology: it is more focused than Endocrinology, which addresses all hormones broadly, and distinct from Urology, a surgical specialty that does not concentrate on the complex medical consequences of androgen use.
Testosteronology® centers on the real-world physiological and psychological impacts of androgens—including cardiovascular complications, androgen-induced erythrocytosis, mood and behavioral changes, fertility considerations, and the full spectrum of Internal Medicine–related conditions arising from therapeutic or non-therapeutic androgen exposure.
As the field evolved, I established the Testosteronology Society™, the professional organization dedicated to advancing this specialty and supporting clinicians who practice within it. The Society™ formalizes the discipline, sets clinical standards, drives new research, provides professional development, and ensures that Testosteronology® remains the leading authority on androgen-related medical care. As its founder and chief in charge, I am committed to nurturing a global community of clinicians who uphold the highest principles of evidence-based, patient-centered androgen medicine.

Omar Hajmousa, PharmD - Executive Director, Medical Affairs & Clinical Strategy

I joined Testosteronology® as a Doctor of Pharmacy, graduating with my PharmD from The Ohio State University, with the goal of deepening my expertise in the systemic effects of testosterone and its clinical role in treatment, prevention, and health optimization. My background in pharmacology and complex medication management gives me a unique lens through which to assess androgen therapy, including its mechanisms, benefits, risks, and the critical nuances that influence patient outcomes.
Inspired by Dr. Thomas O’Connor’s pioneering work, clinical philosophy, and unwavering leadership in androgen care and harm reduction, I have committed my career to advancing the field he founded. Dr. O’Connor’s creation of Testosteronology®, and later the Testosteronology Society™, where he serves as Founder and Chief, has established a new standard of excellence for managing the medical, psychological, and physiological consequences of androgen use. His mentorship and vision continue to shape my professional development and guide my contributions to the Society™.
Appointed by Dr. O’Connor to serve within the Testosteronology Society™, my mission is to help expand the global reach of this specialty while empowering healthcare providers with the knowledge, tools, and evidence-based practices necessary to deliver exceptional androgen-related care. I work to support the Society’s initiatives in education, clinical collaboration, research development, and professional training, ensuring that current and future clinicians uphold the highest standards of patient-centered, ethically grounded hormone and androgen management.
Through this work, I am dedicated to advancing Dr. O’Connor’s legacy and helping men and women worldwide access safer, more informed, and more compassionate androgen care rooted in the principles of Testosteronology®.
